Today ABC Music recording artists McAlister Kemp announce that the follow up to their award winning debut album All Kinds Of Tough, will be released on March 16, 2012 through ABC Music/Universal Music Australia.

The new album will be titled Country Proud and McAlister Kemp will launch it on the main stage at the 2012 CMC Rocks The Hunter festival.

The album’s title track and opening single ‘Country Proud’ is released to radio stations this week.

‘Country Proud’ is set to be the new country anthem of the summer with it’s powerful core message, gospel backing singers and even a hint of reverse banjo!

The track was written by Drew McAlister, Troy Kemp and Steven Lee Olsen.

McAlister Kemp write, record and perform music that touches on core values, real people, great fun and great music! Their debut album produced three #1 singles ('All Kinds Of Tough', 'Hell Yeah', 'Hard Work') and the duo were this year rewarded with a ‘Best New Talent’ Golden Guitar at the Country Music Awards of Australia and a CMC Music Award for 'Best New Oz Artist'.

McAlister Kemp also had the opportunity to open for US country superstar Alan Jackson and perform at the CMA Music Festival Global Artist Party in Nashville last June.

McAlister Kemp performed in Nashville for the very first time last night at the CMA Music Festival's Global Artist Party... the unofficial opening to the huge festival featuring most of US country music's biggest acts.

It was a huge night for international country music. Tommy Emmanuel was presented with a CMA International Award by Australian superstar Keith Urban. And a rowdy crowd at The Stage in Downtown Nashville enjoyed performances from MK, Luke Dickens, Dianna Corcoran, Dean Brody and other country acts from across the world.

ABC Music recording artists McAlister Kemp (Drew McAlister and Troy Kemp) have won one of Australian Country Music’s most prestigious awards - the award for Best New Oz Artist of the Year at the 2011 CMC Music Awards.

The awards, announced at Hope Estate in the Hunter Valley on the eve of the CMC Rocks The Hunter festival, are voted entirely by country music fans across Australia. McAlister Kemp were unable to accept their award on the night as they were opening for US superstar Alan Jackson at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.

However shortly after hearing of their win, Drew and Troy thanked the passionate and dedicated fans who have helped spread the word about their music with the following statement…

“This is unbelievable! We seriously have the best, most passionate fans out there and we can't thank them enough for voting for us. Also, a huge thanks to ABC Music, Universal Music and all the video production teams we've worked with and CMC for playing our videos and putting our mugs on the tele!”

McAlister Kemp were in very good company on the night with established country superstars Taylor Swift (International Artist of the Year), Keith Urban (Music Video of the Year) and Adam Brand (Oz Artist of the Year) winning the other awards.

This massive win follows a huge couple of months for this emerging Australian country duo.
